New Demonstration Video for Computational Urban Synthesis


This video demonstrates the procedural methods for generating street networks, blocks, parcels ans buildings. They are provided as Grasshopper components and are developed by the Computational Plannig Group.

This video deomonstrates an application scenario of the Computational Planning System. You can load a scene as starting point. First a street network is added and filled in the open area. The network is optimized for certain centrality measures. In a second step a random building layout is created, which is optimized for various view field properties.

A more detailed domonstration, how a street network can be optimized concerning specific objectives. Three cases are shown in the video:
